Visitors to the Oregon Zoo have the opportunity to view more than a thousand creatures, representing 200 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Of those, 21 species are endangered and 33 are threatened. The zoo's botanical garden features more than a thousand species of exotic plants, such as Firebird Heliconia, Pelican Flower, Ground Orchid and more.
